Jonaitienė; Kaunas University of Applied sciences; Faculty of Medicine; Departament of Pharmacy, Kaunas. Relevance of the topic: Sudnickaitė, U., Aidukienė, B., and Simanauskas, K. (2015, p.) state that "Obstipation is a bowel disorder manifested by severe, rare, painful or inadequate defecation of the solid consistency of the stool". On average, 16% of adults around the world have problems with constipation and their causes may be: low fiber intake, low fluid intake, sedentary work, stress, fatigue, and even low social, economic status, depression, medications, etc. (Forootan, M., Bagheri, N., and Darvishi, M., 2018). The research conducted by Shibata K. (2016) showed that consultation with a pharmaceutical specialist improves the awareness of the population and makes them more secure with the medicines they consume. Also, the pharmaceutical specialist is important in informing the general public about the undesirable effects of the drug, by offering non-drug treatment for constipation, additional treatments and interaction with other drugs. Aim of the thesis. Reveal the experience of using laxatives in the population. Objectives. 1) Describe the constipation, its causes, means and methods used to overcome constipation. 2) Theoretical explanation of the role of a pharmaceutical specialist in acquiring non-prescription drugs for obstetrics in a pharmacy. 3) Emphasis on the experience of acquiring and consuming laxatives for patients in the pharmacy. Methodology. A questionnaire was created for the study. Which was intended for patients, buying nonprescription drugs. There were 100 patients participating in the survey. The analysis of the data was performed in Excel program, the results are given in percent. Results. To sum up the answers from respondents to the ivestigation, it can be said that constipation affects more the older people whose age ranges from 45 to 65 and more. The findings have revealed that struggling with obstipation usually rungs less than two months, while various drugs are usually taken for a short period. Majority of respondents who are struck by constipation have changed changed their lifestyle and attempted to consume more liquor. The research has shown that the most used medicinal products are as follows: Guttalax drops, Microlax micro-enema, Bysacodyl tablets. As the data of investigation suggests, the respondents are more likely to choose laxatives according to doctor‘s counsel. The analysis has also shown that, when reading the package leaflet, people in most cases pay attention to the instruction for use. en_US
dc.description.abstract Baigiamajame bakalauro darbe buvo paaiškinta obstipacijos sąvoka, simptomai, atsiradimo priežastys, gydymas bei profilaktika. Aprašyta farmacijos specialistų teikiama farmacinė paslauga. Nustatytas sergančių vidurių užkietėjimu požiūris į gydymą, vaistinius preparatus ir farmacijos specialistų teikiamą farmacinę paslaugą. Išnagrinėjus mokslinę - dalykinę literatūrą bei atlikus duomenų analizę buvo pateiktos išvados. Darbą sudaro įvadas, du skyriai, išvados, literatūros sąrašas, priedai. Darbo apimtis – 53 psl. 23 bibliografiniai šaltiniai. en_US
