dc.description Water is one of the most important materials for any live organism in our world. We can find water in three different states: gaseous, liquid and solid., however drinking water resources is gradually decreasing due to the rapidly increasing human population, evolving technologies and water pollution, which is the main reason why water is no longer suitable for consumption. In order to find out if water from wells is suitable for consumption, are carried out chemical and microbiological water quality researches. The aim of this work is to carry out chemical water quality researches of shaft wells and to compare the results obtained during the winter and spring seasons. To achieve this goal, the following tasks have been identified for this purpose: to describe the sources of scientific literature on water quality, to determine the amount of nitrates, nitrite and ammonium in water samples, to compare the results obtained during the winter and spring seasons. The object of this work – chemical water quality indicators of shaft wells. To find out that qualitative work would have been done were used the following research methods: analysis of scientific literature and information sources, determination of water quality of shaft wells by using rapid nitrite, nitrate and ammonium tests next to the shaft wells or brought water samples to my own house. To carry out research were used manufacturer Visocolor ECO rapid tests for nitrates, nitrites, ammonium. The water was taken in January and March from shaft wells of 25 inhabitants, with the consent of their owners to explore the well water. When the practical part of the work was done and analysis of received data showed that water quality during winter and spring seasons was different. The water tested in the winter season was better than the spring season water. According to the research data, only ten of a hundred and fifty tests were outside the normal range (3 related to the amount of ammonium, 1 related to the amount of nitrite and 6 related to the increased amount of nitrate), and the remaining 140 tests were below normal range (nitrate - 50 mg / l, 0.5 mg / l of nitrites, 0.5 mg / l of ammonium). en_US
