dc.description	Relevance of the topic. Physical violence against women in the family environment is a problem that exists broadly within the society. The most popular type of violence in the family environment is physical violence. More often than not, violence tends to occur in circular structure, falling under three categories. The concept covers reasons of it’s appearance, spread and consequences. Social workers provide help and assistance to women experiencing physical violence in the family environment. In order to clarify the means and process of assistance and help it is important to distinguish activities that are being carried through. The aim of the thesis. Reveal the methods and activities that social workers apply while working with women who experience physical violence. The objectives of the thesis. 1. Theoretically define the concept of physical violence against women. 2. To describe the client of a social worker – family. 3. To identify the activities and methods applied by a social worker while working with women who experience physical violence in family environment. Thesis object of the thesis. The methods and activities performed by social workers in relation to the women experiencing physical violence in family environment. Research question. What are the specific methods used by social workers with cases of women experiencing physical violence in the family environment? Methods of the research. Qualitative research, partially structured interview. 3 social workers, who work with women that experience violence in the family environment, where interviewed. Research analysis has been processed with the help of data provided by the interviewees. Results of the research. The research revealed the methods and activities applied by social workers in relation to women who experience physical violence in the family environment. As the data of the research shows, the institution of the interviewees apply methods of general social services, such as providing information, middle-man services, consultations. Social workers consult women experiencing physical violence on legal matters, redirect to a psychiatrist, as well as help to carry out administrative processes. The methods applied by social workers are of significant importance in order to empower women. Confidentiality is also a very important aspect, in relation to individual work that is being carried out between a social worker and women, in order to make women feel safer and promote their confidence, whereas group methods are applied only in the later stages of the process. Communicating and talking about the experienced violence enable to grow sustainable connection between a client and a social worker. It has been brought to daylight, that cooperation with external institutions like police and probation departments is often very beneficial as they always provide with the latest data and are able to redirect if needed. Therefore, cooperation and communication activities are present.	en
dc.description.abstract	Smurtas prieš moteris šeimoje – visuomenėje vyraujanti problema. Pagrindinė smurto šeimoje forma: fizinis smurtas. Dažniausiai pasitaiko atvejų, kai smurtas šeimoje vyksta ratu, pasireiškiantis trimis smurto rato etapais. Fizinis smurtas turi atsiradimo priežastis, paplitimą bei pasėkmes. Socialiniai darbuotojai teikia pagalbą fizinį smurtą šeimoje patyrusioms moterims. Siekiant išsiaiškinti, kaip socialiniai darbuotojai teikia pagalbą, reikia atskleisti, kokias veiklas jie vykdo.	en_US
