dc.description	The importance of the research. Social work with social risk families is a process that involves the three most important interacting components: the client, the circumstances and the social worker. The thesis deals with the need for a social worker to work with families, who are experiencing social risk in the rural areas. Taking into account that the problems of social risk families in a rural area are different from those who live in the city, the activity of the social worker and the services provided by him in the rural area are also correspondingly different. In order to improve the problem solving of the social risk families’ a research about the efficiency of the social worker’s activity has been carried out. The aim of the paper. To reveal the need of social worker activities to work with families, who are experiencing social risk in the rural areas. The objectives of the paper: 1. To describe the problems of families experiencing social risks in countryside. 2. To define social worker‘s activities in solving problems of families experiencing social risks. 3. To determine the need of a social worker to work with families who are experiencing social risks in the rural area. The methodology of the research. A quantitative research, during which 25 adult people were interviewed of subdistrict that were from families experiencing social risks. The results and conclusions. After a careful analysis it can be concluded that according to the respondents, the social workers react to their emerging problems sufficiently quickly, the meetings and the social worker’s time dedicated to the clients is also adequate. The majority of the participants of the research regard the activity of the social workers’ as a mean of solving their problems and are satisfied with the amount of effort of the workers put into the activity. The survey revealed the types of social workers’ activities that the respondents deemed the most necessary: the introduction of information regarding the various concessions, the granting and paying of the benefits, the advices on behaviour in various situations, the consultations and help in changing of the lifestyle, in communication with other institutions and the help with the solving of the problems. Moreover, the other frequently required activities incorporate the client’s inclusion in the problem solving process thus making him capable of independently dealing with the occurrence of the same problem in the future and the pointing of the client to the other agencies which are qualified in the area of the needed help.	en
dc.description.abstract	Socialinis darbas su socialinės rizikos šeimomis – tai procesas, apimantis tris svarbiausius sąveikaujančius komponentus: klientą, aplinkybes ir socialinį darbuotoją. Darbe yra nagrinėjamas socialinio darbuotojo veiklos poreikis dirbant su šeimomis, patiriančiomis socialinę riziką kaimiškoje vietovėje. Atsižvelgiant į tai, kad kaimiškoje vietovėje socialinės rizikos šeimų problemos yra skirtingos, nei mieste, tad socialinio darbuotojo veikla bei jo teikiamos paslaugos yra taip pat kitokios. Siekiant pagerinti šeimų, patiriančių socialinę riziką problemų sprendimus, buvo atliktas tyrimas apie socialinio darbuotojo veiklos poreikį.	en_US
