At present, the rapid globalization processes in the natural environment, society and mankind have various adverse effects: increased environmental pollution, causing climate change, extinction, destruction or loss of natural resources. The aim of the work is to analyse the problems of ensuring and implementing human rights in a safe environment. Objectives to achieve the goal: 1. To analyse the concept of human rights in a safe environment and aspects of the development of law. 2. To examine the aspects of legal regulation of the relationship between the environment and human rights. 3. To analyse the protection of human rights in a safe environment in the practice of the Lithuanian and European Court of Human Rights. The object of the research is the legal regulation of human rights in a safe environment. Research methods. The following methods are used in this work: analysis and summary of scientific literature, analysis of legal acts, descriptive, comparative, analytical methods. The structure of the work - the work consists of three main parts: the first part of the work analyses the theoretical (doctrinal) aspects of human rights in a safe environment and the development of laws; The second aspect deals with the legal regulation of the relation between the environment and human rights; the third part analyses the legal aspects and problems of ensuring the protection of human rights in a secure environment in the practice of the Lithuanian and European Court of Human Rights. The main conclusions - after analysing the national legislation of the Republic of Lithuania, which establishes the implementation of a person's right to a healthy environment, can state that, although indirectly, environmental protection and human rights are related with each other. This is confirmed not only by the systematic analysis of legal acts, but also by the judicial practice developed by the Constitutional Court and other courts of Lithuania. en
