dc.description	Modern culture demonstrates the cult of a beautiful and aesthetical body. To maintain such a body people choose a controlling method. In order to know what the best controlling methods are the person first of all must be aware of himself/herself. However, trying to that he often faces the standards enforced by society; therefore, self-awareness becomes as an image created by other persons. This Final Thesis analyses the relation between body control and the image, what measures were used for justifying the intruded norms of society in a historical aspect, how the body was controlled and still is controlled in different cultures and how it is related to the modern fashion world. After analysing literature it is clear that the main reasons due to which individuals takes controlling themselves and their body because of the attitude by surrounding people and opinion about them. That was the reason why I have selected a quantitative research, during which a negative opinion was established about people of large body constitution. This position of respondents led to carrying out an observational research, during which 50 women of large body constitution were observed in Kaunas city, and it has been established what constituents compose their outfit, what type of colouring predominates in it and what the most common stylistic errors are in their outfit. All observed persons are photographed. After the research, it is clear that women of large body constitution mostly wear large shapeless clothes dominating achronomic dark colours; the respondents try not to distinguish and to hide. Stylistic errors are noticed in all respondent„s outfit, which change their body shape and distinguish their body defects but also stimulate larger discontent with their body. A photo shoot was carried out during the creative part of the survey. It was aimed at denying the established standarts in the society ant the attitude, which says that fat people are ugly. During the survey reaveling the features of the image led to the presentation of such a woman bright, charming and self – confident without restrictions ant stereotypes of society. dc.description.abstract	Darbo pagrindinis tikslas išanalizuoti kūno savikontrolės raišką visuomenėje ir jos santykį su įvaizdžiu. Šio darbo metu buvo aptariama kūno savikontrolės raiška istoriniame, kultūriniame ir šiuolaikiniame kontekstuose. Tyrimo metu buvo pasirenkami kiekybinis ir kokybinis, metodai. Šių tyrimų tikslas buvo išsiaiškinti žmonių požiūrį į nestandartinio kūno sudėjimo žmones, bei išsiaiškinti kaip viešose vietose save pateikia stambaus kūno sudėjimo asmenys iš stiliaus pusės. Darbo išvados: atlikus literatūros analizė buvo išsiaiškinta, jog savikontrolę skatina kitų individų nuomonė apie asmenį, todėl 100 žmonių buvo pateikti du klausimai, ką jie mano apie stambaus ir itin liekno sudėjimo žmones, buvo išsiaiškinta, jog net 63% respondentų turi neigiamą nuomonę apie stambaus sudėjimo žmones. Šis tyrimas paskatino atlikti stebėjimą, kurio metu buvo stebimos 50 stambaus sudėjimo moterys Kauno mieste, buvo išsiaiškinta, jog moterys bijo atsiskleisti, slepia save po beformiais ir tamsių spalvų drabužiais, vengia ryškių spalvų. Ši informacija padėjo atlikti kūrybinę dalį, kurios metu buvo pasirenkama būtent tokio sudėjimo moteris, kurio tikslas buvo įrodyti, jog stambaus kūno sudėjimo žmonės gali būti ryškūs, žavūs ir savimi pasitikintys be jokių visuomenės primetamų standartų ir taisyklių.	en_US
