Mikalauskas R., Kauno Kolegija/University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Management and Economics, Department of Sport Management. – Kaunas, 2017. 46 pages. It is impossible to imagine a sports industry without any sports events. The factors of sports events management are not only important for an organizing group, but also interesting for the audience. The Lithuanian Women's Basketball League (LMKL) holds number of events annually and one of them – All-Star day is the most important event for the organization. Therefore, it is great idea to use an opportunity to find out how the management of the LMKL All-Star day event takes place and which areas of management could be improved in the future. The main problem: does Lithuanian Women's Basketball League way of managing All-Star Day matches the functions of the sports event management? The aim – to assess Lithuanian Women's Basketball League's event All-Star Day aspects of the management. The objectives: 1. To describe the theoretical concepts of the sports event and its organization process; 2. To discuss the main factors of Lithuanian Women's Basketball League management; 3. To evaluate the factors of the sports event management. Methods of work: analysis of scientific literature, the interview, descriptive statistics. The structure: The theoretical part of Professional Bachelor’s final thesis discusses the theoretical aspects of a sports event, its organization process and analyzes management functions. The analytical part of the work is analyzed using the qualitative method - the information obtained from the interview is being compared with the aspects, which were discussed in the theoretical part and lastly, improvement suggestions determined to specific Lithuanian Women's Basketball League activity areas. This final thesis also includes a financial plan. At the end of the paper, the conclusions and suggestions are presented for the Lithuanian Women's Basketball League in order to improve sports events management. The results: The Lithuanian Women's Basketball League has certain management issues while organizing All-Star Day event. Those issues is organization and motivation. Reachable to improve those management aspects. Improvements for those management parts are based on financial plan. Scope of the work: the work consists of 46 pages, 7 tables, 20 figures, 40 literature and sources of information.	en
